World Physiotherapy Day Celebrated by Krishna College of Physiotherapy

As declared by WCPT the theme for world physiotherapy day was “low back pain (LBP) and the role of physiotherapy in its management and prevention”. To support this theme Krishna college of Physiotherapy had organized a rally and physiotherapy screening camp for Low Back Pain to spread the awareness and importance of Physiotherapy to the people on 25th September 2024. The rally started at 9.00 am from Physiotherapy College by specific instructions given by our Respected Dean Dr. G VARADHARAJULU Sir. The inauguration of the rally was done by Respected Mashalkar Sir, The Deputy Registrar, Administration, KVV, Karad.

The Rally started from the Krishna College of Physiotherapy to the Ond village, students showed their enthusiasm by saying various slogans together. All the teaching staffs along with our Respected Dean Sir participated in this rally. Students had made various banners for awareness of Physiotherapy. Rally ended at the Pandit Govind High School, Ond.

Physiotherapy Screening Camp

• The camp started by felicitation of HON. Dr. SURESH BHOSALE SIR, Chancellor Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad and HON. Dr ATUL BHOSALE SIR, Chairman, KSB Bank, Karad. They also told us the importance of Physiotherapy in day-to-day life and also appreciated the efforts being taken into that account.
• The camp started after an inauguration program. In the camp, 33 patients were screened, diagnosed and treated in the camp. Patients were asked to continue the treatment and OPD cards were provided to them. Physiotherapy Screening was conducted on topic - Low back pain. For the camp 6 staff and 22 students were present.
• The camp was continued till 3 pm and was successful as free treatment was provided to the patients. With the help of camp 33 patients were benefited by physiotherapy consultation and treatment.

Distribution of Orthotics Appliances

• The program was inaugrated by HON. Dr. SURESH BHOSALE SIR, Chancellor Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad and HON. Dr. ATUL BHOSALE SIR, Chairman, KSB Bank, Karad. Distribution of Orthotic appliances was carried out under the scheme “Krishna Divyanga Mitra Yojana” proposed by HON. Dr. ATUL BHOSLE SIR (Baba). Orthotic appliances were distributed to 33 needy people.
