World No Tobacco Day 2025 Observed at Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth

On 31st May 2025, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth marked World No Tobacco Day with an impactful street play on de-addiction, organized in collaboration with the Departments of Psychiatry, Community Medicine, and ENT under the National Health Mission.

The play, performed by Nursing College students under the guidance of Dr. Shailaja Patil, highlighted the harmful effects of tobacco and promoted the importance of timely screening and tobacco cessation clinics.

In the afternoon, a panel discussion was held featuring Dr. Ajish Mangot (Psychiatry), Dr. Sujata Patil (Community Medicine), Dr. Shweta Patil (ENT), and Dr. Shailaja Patil (Psychiatry). They discussed the vital role of healthcare professionals in tobacco cessation and community outreach.

The initiative, supported by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and HR Department, received enthusiastic participation and appreciation from the community.
