Scientific Lecture Series on Antimicrobial Resistance-KIST

Krishna Institute of Science & Technology (KIST), Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Karad, in collaboration with Pune Knowledge Cluster (PKC), successfully organized a scientific lecture series on “Tracking and Tracing Antimicrobial Resistance Through Genomics: Where Are We Heading?” on 21st August 2026 at Namaste Hall, KIST Building.

The session featured eminent experts including Dr. Dhanasekaran Shanmugam, Dr. Mahesh S. Dharne, and Dr. Vinay Rale, who provided insights into antimicrobial resistance, its molecular origins, surveillance, and the role of genomics and DNA sequencing technologies in combating resistant pathogens.

The lecture series offered valuable knowledge to clinicians, researchers, students, and policymakers, highlighting the growing importance of genomics in addressing the global challenge of antimicrobial resistance.
