KVV’S, KRISHNA INSTITUTE OF PHARMACY SUCCESSFULLY ORGANIZED AN INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SEEMA BIOTECH PVT. LTD. AND LEAD BOTANICAL GARDEN SHIVAJI UNIVERSITY

A Field Visit and an Industrial Visit were organized for Third Year B. Pharmacy students of Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, KVVKarad under the guidance of Dr. NamdeoJadhav, Dean, Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, KVV, Karad on Saturday, 21st of October 2023.

A group of 45 students from Third year B. Pharmacy was chosen. The teaching coordinators, Miss.J.M.Gandhi, Mr. P.A.Patil along with the non-teaching staff member Mr. RohitHowal accompanied the students on the visit.

The morning session comprised a field visit to The Lead Botanical Garden, Shivaji University Kolhapur. The field visit began at 11.15 am at the destination information of various medicinal plants spanned into seven different sections in the lead botanical garden and aromatic oil extraction was explained to the students.

Post lunch session began at 2.30 pm at Seema Biotech Warnangar.

Mr. VikasPatil and Mr. Dhumal guided the students regarding establishing and maintaining the plant tissue culture unit. A demonstration of Plant tissue culture process was given, covering every minute detail involved in it. They guided the students towards their green house facility and the nursery. They explained regarding Banana cultivars around their premises and Bamboo plantation, cultivation of ornamental plants like orchids, Syngonium etc. Students actively participated by asking questions during the field visit and the industrial visit.

The students were satisfied with the visits and were motivated towards entrepreneurship.
