KVV's, Krishna Institute of Pharmacy arranged an Industrial Visit at Associated Capsule Pvt. Ltd. Shirwal

KVV's Krishna Institute of Pharmacy arranged an industrial visit at Associated Capsule Pvt. Ltd., Shirwal, on October 25, 2023. The main objective behind the industrial visit is to meet industrial expectations. The next decade will be marked by the use of IoT and different technologies in pharmacy fields, and considering the national education policy and the need to develop industry-academia collaboration to benefit pharmacy students, an industrial visit was arranged. ACG Group has a global presence across the globe for manufacturing hard and soft gelatin capsules. It is an end-to-end manufacturer of empty hard gelatin capsules and supplies different size ranges of capsules to other global pharmaceutical firms. At the capsule plant, students get exposed to various processes of capsule manufacturing, like the preparation of gelatin, the printing of capsules, the designing of capsules, etc. In ACG Engineering, the Pin Bar department was visited, and students were exposed to the development of Pin Bar, which is used for manufacturing capsule shells (body and cap). In the ACG Films and Foils blister packaging machine demonstration given to the students In that, various other instruments and their different versions, like fluidized bed dryers and colloid mill development, are also given. At last, ACG’s Vantage department visit was arranged, which is a neutraceuticals manufacturing plant in which students get exposed to the neutraceuticals development process in detail. A total of 30 students, along with 2 staff members, visited the industry. This visit was arranged under the guidance of Dr. N. R. Jadhav, Dean, Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, Karad. Mr. Waghmode, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Babar, Assistant Professor, KIP, Karad, coordinated the visit.
