KVV Faculty Create Two Short Films Promoting Hope, Resilience and Mental Health Awareness for N-SPRITE 2026

N-SPRITE Suicide Prevention Short Film Festival 2026

For the N-SPRITE Suicide Prevention Short Film Festival 2026, two thought-provoking short films were created around the theme of hope and resilience. Through simple yet powerful stories, the films highlight the importance of emotional support, meaningful conversations, mental-health awareness and professional help during difficult moments.

  1. One Phone Call

A 5-minute short film, “One Phone Call”, tells the story of Arya, who is deeply overwhelmed by life's pressures and quietly struggles with self-doubt and isolation. Recognizing the change in Arya's behaviour, her close friend reaches out through a simple phone call and refuses to leave her alone in her difficult moment. With gentle encouragement, Arya is guided towards professional therapy and, with continued support, gradually begins her journey towards healing, rediscovering joy and hope.

The film conveys a powerful message: sometimes, a single caring gesture or phone call can become a lifeline for someone who is struggling.

  1. We Fall

A 1-minute short film, “We Fall”, explores the quiet emotional struggles that young people may experience and the importance of parental understanding. The film follows a father who recognizes his son's silent emotional struggle and reassures him that he does not have to face life's difficult moments alone.

Using the simple metaphor of learning to ride a bicycle, the story reflects on balance, falling and getting back up. It delivers a heartfelt message about mental health, parental support and the importance of being present for someone when they lose their balance in life.
