KIST: Guest Lecture on “IKS and Its Importance in NEP 2020
On 26th May 2025, a special guest lecture was organized at Krishna Institute of Science and Technology, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), on the topic “Indian Knowledge System (IKS) and Its Importance in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.”
The session was conducted by Dr. Shashikant Kamble, UGC Approved Trainer for IKS, esteemed expert in the Indian Knowledge System. He delivered an insightful presentation on how traditional Indian wisdom and practices can be effectively integrated into modern education. He emphasized how NEP 2020 opens new pathways for including IKS in research, curriculum development, and holistic learning.
The event was graced by Dr. Pravin H. Shingare, Principal Advisor, Academics & Accreditation, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Karad, who served as the Chief Guest. He addressed the importance of reviving Indian values in education and guided students and faculty on how NEP 2020 promotes innovation, skill-based learning, and global recognition of Indian knowledge systems.
The program witnessed active participation from the Principal, heads of departments, faculty members and research scholars. It was an enlightening and highly motivating session for all.
