Teachers’ Day 2026 Celebrated at Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad
Karad, September 5, 2026: Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, Karad, under the aegis of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Karad, organised Teachers’ Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and reverence on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Auditorium Hall, KVV, Karad.
The programme was organised in the gracious presence of Hon. Dr. Vedprakash Mishra, Chief Advisor to the Chancellor, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad, as the Chief Guest. Hon. Dr. Mrs. Neelam Mishra, Vice Chancellor, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad, and Dr. M. V. Ghorpade, Registrar, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad, were the Guests of Honour.
Hon. Dr. Vedprakash Mishra addressed the gathering and elaborated on seven important rules for a teacher, emphasising the values, responsibilities and qualities essential for an effective teacher. He also highlighted the importance of teaching as a profession and its immense potential to influence individuals, society and the nation. He emphasised that teaching is not merely a profession but a powerful means of creating a better future.
In her message, Hon. Dr. Mrs. Neelam Mishra highlighted the changing role of teachers in the 21st century and emphasised their profound responsibility in shaping the future of the nation. She described teachers as guiding forces and highlighted their significant role as nation-builders in the rapidly changing educational landscape.
Dr. M. V. Ghorpade, Registrar, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, explained the significance of Teachers’ Day and paid tribute to the invaluable contribution of teachers to the development of society. He also elaborated on the vision and philosophy of Late Shri Jaywantraoji Bhosale (Appasaheb), Founder of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad, and highlighted how his vision continues to inspire the educational mission and development of the institution.
Dr. N. R. Jadhav, Dean, Krishna Institute of Pharmacy and Organising Chairman of the programme, spoke on the role of teachers in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI). He emphasised that although AI is transforming education and providing new tools for teaching and learning, the human qualities of a teacher—such as empathy, mentorship, ethical guidance, critical thinking and inspiration—remain irreplaceable. He called upon teachers to embrace technological advancements while retaining the human touch at the heart of education.
On the occasion, the University felicitated staff members with the Favourite Teacher Award, Best Reader Award, and Research and IPR Excellence Award, in recognition of their dedication and outstanding contributions.
The programme served as a meaningful platform to recognise and celebrate the dedication, contribution and transformative role of teachers in education and nation-building. It also highlighted the need for teachers to continuously adapt, learn and lead in the era of technological advancement and Artificial Intelligence.
The programme was organised under the aegis of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad, by Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, Karad, with active participation from faculty members and the academic fraternity.
