Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Karad, participated in the Palakmantri Mahaarogya Melava organized in coordination with Hon’ble Shri Bharat Maruti Gogawale, Palakmantri of Raigad District, at B. S. Butala Sanskrutik Bhavan, Mahad.
The health camp was conducted under the leadership of Dr. (Mrs.) Vaishali R. Mohite, Dean, Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), Karad, with the participation of medical and nursing professionals. More than 1,000 beneficiaries registered across various departments and received healthcare services, including specialist consultations, diagnostic investigations, ECG, and free medicines.
As part of the women's health initiative, breast health awareness and screening services were provided using the Intelligent Breast Exam (iBE) device, ThermolytiX technology, and clinical breast examination. A total of 29 women underwent iBE screening, 45 underwent ThermolytiX assessment, and 64 received clinical breast examinations. Three women were identified with breast screening irregularities and advised further evaluation and follow-up.
The camp promoted preventive healthcare, early identification of health problems, breast cancer awareness, and access to essential medical services. This initiative reflects Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth’s commitment to community health, social responsibility, and accessible healthcare for underserved populations.
