Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences, Karad, organized an Alumni Guest Lecture on the topic “Career Guidance for Abroad (Denmark)” for the 4th-semester B.Sc. Nursing students. The session was conducted by Ms. Lincy Thomas, Senior Staff Nurse at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai, and a distinguished alumna from the 7th Batch (2012–2016) of B.Sc. Nursing. A total of 50 students actively participated in the event.

Ms. Lincy Thomas began the session by expressing her joy in reconnecting with her alma mater and shared her inspiring journey — from a student at Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences to securing a prestigious position at Wockhardt Hospitals, and now moving forward to a professional opportunity in Denmark. She credited her academic and clinical training at the institute, along with the continuous support of the faculty, for laying the strong foundation of her nursing career.

The core of her lecture focused on career opportunities for nurses in Denmark. She elaborated on essential prerequisites such as having a recognized nursing qualification, obtaining authorization from the Danish Health Authority, proficiency in the Danish language, and for non-EU/EEA applicants, securing a valid work permit. She also provided practical insights into the exam patterns, subject weightage, and the credential verification process, giving students a clear roadmap to pursue international nursing careers.

Students found the session highly informative, practical, and motivating, with many expressing that it broadened their understanding of global career pathways, particularly in Denmark. The session also ignited interest among students to explore both national and international avenues in the nursing profession.

Dr. Mrs. Vaishali R. Mohite, Dean of the Institute, appreciated Ms. Lincy Thomas for delivering such an insightful and engaging session. She highlighted the importance of academic excellence and thorough preparation for competitive international exams and encouraged students to pursue higher education for long-term career success.

The session was successfully coordinated by Mr. Tejas Bhosale, who ensured the smooth execution of the event.
