KIMS- World Hand Hygiene Day

In view of World Hand Hygiene Day, Department of Community Medicine KIMS Karad observed the programme in Dushere village as part of Family Adoption Programmer on 11th October 2024.

In this programme the students demonstrated the steps of hand washing with the help of soap and water at the individual and community level. Student also sensitized about the importance of hand washing in prevention of waterborne diseases like diarrhea, dysentery, typhoid, hepatitis A etc. with poster presentation.

Students and faculties were also engaged to create importance of hand washing by distribution of soap sachets, banners and charts to primary school authorities as well as members of gram panchayat.
