KIMS-Inauguration of Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan.

The inauguration of the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan was held at KIMS, Karad on 17th September 2025. The programme began with Deep Prajwalan by Dr. M.V. Ghorpade, Registrar. The event was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Vasundhara Vijay Ghorpade, Professor & HOD, PSM, the Nodal Officer of the campaign. The programme was attended by faculty members, students, and staff of KIMS.

This National Campaign focuses on the health and nutrition of women, adolescent girls, and children, aiming to strengthen early detection, provide access to essential health services, and empower families to adopt healthier lifestyles for a stronger India. Another critical pillar of health security under this campaign is blood donation, a lifesaving act vital for trauma care, surgeries, cancer treatment, and management of hemoglobinopathies like thalassemia and sickle cell disease.

As part of the campaign, KIMS is going to organise specialty services for women and children, community health camps for anemia screening and health education for menstrual hygiene and healthy nutrition practices for adolescent girls, Nikshsy Mitra enrolment and Tuberculosis screening for women .
