KIMS “Deemed to be University”, Karad & Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Collaborating in multidisciplinary domains

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences “Deemed To Be University”, Karad has signed Memorandum of Understanding with Shivaji University, Kolhapur on 17th December 2020. This MoU is aimed to encourage contact and cooperation between student, staff and faculty members of both the institutions to accelerate the research deliverables and thus these joint research activities will promote the publications between both institutions, this is the first occasion when KIMSDU has linked with state conventional University for academic activities as a joint venture.

The MoU was signed in the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Chancellor of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences “Deemed To Be University”, Karad Hon’ble Dr. Suresh Bhosale and Vice Chancellor of Shivaji University, Kolhapur Hon’ble Dr. D. T. Shirke. Other dignitaries present on the occasion from Shivaji University, Kolhapur were Dr. P. S. Patil, Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar Dr. V. D. Nadavadekar and Coordinator Prof. Dr. K. D. Sonawane. KIMS Deemed to be University, Karad was represented by Registrar Dr. M. V. Ghorpade, Dr. D. K. Agarwal, Additional Director Research, Coordinators Dr. Satish V. Kakade and Mr. Dhiraj A. Mane to witness the ceremony. Hon’ble Dr. Suresh Bhosale has expressed his keenness in collaborating with Shivaji University which is one of the oldest and premier Universities in India. Hon’ble V Dr. D. T. Shirke of Shivaji University has also expressed his willingness to work together in the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary domains. It was discussed that creating a big research platform will help the active researchers in the particular thrust areas at national and international level. Hon’ble Dr. Atul Bhosale, Member of Board of Management of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences “Deemed To Be University”, Karad also graced the function and he has explicitly mentioned about his experience while working with the authorities of Shivaji University during his earlier days. Mrs Trupti Bhosale has conducted the ceremony and the MoU signing ceremony ended with vote of thanks delivered by Dr. D. K. Agarwal, Additional Director Research.
