KIMS- Approach to Child with Chronic Hepatitis

On Friday 20th December 2024, Pediatric department KVV Karad had arranged an Interdepartmental activity. Speaker for the day was Dr Bhushan Miraje, Pediatrics Gastroenterologist, Associate Professor, Department of Paediatrics R.C.S.M Government Medical College Kolhapur.

Topic of discussion was Approach to a child with Chronic Hepatitis. Residents and consultants had attended the lecture. It started of with Dr Anil Bhoi , HOD of Pediatrics welcoming for the programme and introducing the speaker. Dr Vinod Choudhary, Professor of Pediatrics honoured the speaker by giving a bouquet.

Case presentation was done by third year resident Dr Mounika Kumarra about a 6 year old female child with hepatitis A. Dr Bhushan Miraje explained in detail to all residents how to go about with such case scenario.

After case presentation , Dr Bhushan Miraje addressed the gathering, he spoke about relevant symptoms signs and investigations to be done incase of Gastro related disorders in Pediatrics. He also showed few case scenarios which he has dealt with.

The program concluded with vote of thanks by Dr Parvathy Assistant professor Department of Pediatrics.
