KIMS-American Heart Association’s Heartcode BLS & ACLS Workshop
On 5th and 6th August 2025, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University), Karad, conducted the American Heart Association’s Heartcode Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) courses.
A total of 33 participants from various specialties attended the training aimed at strengthening life-saving and emergency response skills.
BLS Training:
Covered recognition of life-threatening emergencies, performing high-quality CPR, and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Key skills: Prompt recognition of emergencies, quality chest compressions, effective ventilation, and early defibrillation.
ACLS Training:
Focused on advanced management of cardiac arrest, post-arrest care, arrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.
Key skills: Timely recognition and intervention, advanced airway management, and coordinated emergency care.
The program equipped participants with essential skills to enhance patient survival and improve emergency care outcomes.
