Celebration of National Librarians’ Day

To commemorate National Librarian’s Day - August 12th, the library committee of the Krishna Institute of Pharmacy has organized a programme on the 16thAugust 2023. The program was conducted in the college library at 3:30 pm. Thirty students of F.Y PharmD , Krishna Institute of Pharmacy participated in the same.

The welcome note was given by Ms. Vishwabharati, Student of Pharm D First Year and the Significance of the day was given by Ms. Monika Suryawanshi, fourth year Pharm D, KVV, KIP Karad. Followed by Dean I/C Dr. Amol Shete, felicitated A.M. Padulesir (Librarian, KVV,KIP)by offering a floral bouquet. After that A.M. Padule sir explained the contributions of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, Father of Library Science. Followed by his speech, a brief introduction of the event was given by Dr Amol Shete sir. He explained the importance of a librarian in a student’s life. How to respect a librarian in society. Thereafter Dr. Bijoy expressed the importance of conducting a librarians’ day event in a college. Concluding remarks and Vote of thanks was given by Ms. Smitha Gaikwad. She expressed sincere thanks to all for guiding and sharing valuable information. She also thanked Dean Dr. Amol.S. Shetesir for the guidance and support. Asst. Professor Ms. Monali M Shewale.and Asst.Professor Dr. Amina Shajahan was the coordinator of the event.
