Workshop on "Application of MolSoft ICM Software in drug design"

A workshop on ‘Application of MolSoft ICM Software in drug design’ was organized for M. Pharm students, Ph.D. scholars & staff of Krishna Institute of Pharmacy Karad under the guidance of Dr. A. S. Shete, Dean (I/C), Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, Karad on 07/07/2023.

The welcome note and introduction of the speaker were given by Mrs. Monali Shewale, Assistant Professor, KVV, KIP Karad. Dean I/C Dr. Amol Shete welcomed Dr. Mohsin Khan Pathan & Mr. Amit Bedi by offering a bouquet. Objectives & brief introduction of the lecture was given by Dr. D. P. Mali. He explained the importance of the application of MolSoft ICM Software in drug design.

Morning Session: 11.00am to 1.30pm by Dr. Mohsin Khan Pathan

Session I: Dr. Mohsin Khan Pathan her/his learned, experienced talk includes discussion, demonstration & application of

1. ICM-Pro desktop modelling for protein-ligand & protein-protein docking.
2. ICM-Pro virtual ligand screening for batch docking including fragment, structure based & ligand-based docking.
3. ICM-Pro homology modelling.
4. ICM-Chemist-Pro for calculating ADME properties, QSAR studies

Staff, research scholars & students actively participated in Question-and-answer session.

Concluding remarks and a Vote of thanks were given by Miss Snehal Patil. She/He expressed sincere thanks to Dr. Mohsin Khan Pathan and Mr. Amit Bedi for guiding and sharing the valuable information & demonstration on application of MolSoft ICM Software in drug design.
