The Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, Karad under the aegis of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Karad recently hosted a momentous National Student Conference on Recent Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology. Organized in collaboration with the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI)

Karad, March 2, 2024: The Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, under the aegis of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), recently hosted a momentous National Student Conference on Recent Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology. Organized in collaboration with the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), the event witnessed an overwhelming response from students and professionals alike.

The conference, held on March 2nd, 2024, saw a remarkable turnout with total of 653 registrations and approximately 140 posters submitted for the poster presentation competition. The day commenced with registrations beginning at 8:30 am, followed by a hearty breakfast for the participants. The formal inauguration ceremony commenced at 10:40 am, graced by esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Suresh Bhosale, Hon’ble Chairman & Managing Trustee, KCT, Karad and Hon'ble Chancellor, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad, along with Prof. (Dr) P.S. Patil Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, Shivaji University, Kolhapur and Dr. S. B. Bhise Director, Arogyalabh Foundation, Pune, Ex-Principal, Government College of Pharmacy, Karad

Addressing the gathering, Dr. N. R. Jadhav, Organizing Chairman and Dean of Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, expressed his delight at the overwhelming response to the conference. He highlighted the significant strides made by the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in areas such as drug discovery, herbal and nutraceutical biomolecules, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence.

The inauguration was followed by insightful sessions from distinguished speakers, including Dr. S. B. Bhise, Director of Arogyalabh Foundation, Pune, who shed light on various aspects of pharmaceutical research and development, emphasizing the importance of innovation and addressing unmet medical needs.

The event's highlight was the poster presentation competition, where participants showcased their research and findings. The evaluation of posters was conducted by a panel of esteemed judges, comprising professionals from renowned institutions in the field of pharmacy.

The conference concluded with a valedictory function and a prize distribution ceremony. Winners and runners-up of the poster presentation competition were felicitated for their outstanding contributions to the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Anup A. Patil, Convenor of the Event, extended his gratitude to all participants, and organizers, for making the conference a resounding success.

The National Student Conference on Recent Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology served as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, furthering the advancement of the pharmaceutical industry in India.
