KIP: Organized One-Day Workshop on “Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis”

Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, constituent institute of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Karad, successfully organized a One-Day Workshop on “Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis” for M. Pharm, Ph.D. scholars, and faculty members. The workshop focused on strengthening knowledge of evidence-based research methodologies and systematic approaches used in healthcare and pharmaceutical research. The workshop commenced with a welcome address by Dean Dr. Namdeo R. Jadhav, wherein he emphasized the growing importance of systematic reviews and meta-analysis in scientific research and stressed the need for structured research methodologies, critical appraisal techniques, and evidence-based practices to strengthen the quality and impact of healthcare research.

The workshop featured expert technical sessions by Dr. Jagadeesh Kayala, Scientist C, ICMR Headquarters, New Delhi; Dr. Shivsharan B. Dhadde, Associate Professor, Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, KVV (DU), Karad; and Mr. Pramod A. Patil, Assistant Professor, Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, KVV (DU), Karad. The experts guided participants on formulation of research questions using PICO/PECO frameworks, protocol development, PRISMA guidelines, literature search strategies, study selection, risk of bias assessment, data extraction, and statistical interpretation in meta-analysis. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from postgraduate students, research scholars, and faculty members, who actively engaged in discussions and gained valuable insights into systematic review methodology and publication-oriented research practices.

The programme was conducted under the inspiration and visionary leadership of Hon’ble Dr. Suresh Bhosale, Chancellor, KVV (DU); Dr. Vedprakash Mishra, Chief Advisor to the Chancellor; Dr. P. H. Shingare, Principal Advisor, Academics & Accreditation; Prof. (Dr.) Neelam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor KVV (DU); and Dr. M. V. Ghorpade, Registrar KVV (DU), whose continuous support motivates academic excellence and research innovation at the University.

The workshop was successfully convened by Dr. N. R. Jadhav and coordinated by Dr. Akshada Koparde, while Dr. Trupti Durgawale and Dr. Sukanya Pote were Co-coordinators.
