Achievements of Department of Oncologic Physiotherapy

The National Conference on Disability and Rehabilitation was hosted by Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation’s College of Physiotherapy, focusing on the theme of disability and rehabilitation. Held on the 25th and 26th of September 2024 in a virtual mode, this multidisciplinary conference brought together a diverse audience comprising physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical professionals, nurses, speech therapists, and special educators.

The Staff and PG students from the college represented the department in paper presentation:

1. Dr. Trupti Yadav – Head of Department (HOD), Oncologic Physiotherapy (Professional Category)
2. Dr. Vaishnavi Badave – MPT 1 (Postgraduate Category)
3. Dr. Sonia Ninawe – MPT 1 (Postgraduate Category)
4. Dr. Alisha Shikalgar – MPT 1 (Postgraduate Category)

Achievements:

The participants from Krishna College of Physiotherapy performed remarkably well in the paper presentation competition, securing prestigious positions:

- Dr. Trupti Yadav (HOD, Oncologic Department) was awarded 1st rank in the Professional Category, reflecting her outstanding knowledge and contribution to the field of physiotherapy.

- Dr. Sonia Ninawe (MPT 1) achieved 1st rank in the Postgraduate (PG) Category, demonstrating exceptional research and presentation skills.

- Dr. Vaishnavi Badave (MPT 1) secured 2nd rank in the Postgraduate (PG) Category, further highlighting the academic excellence of the students at Krishna College of Physiotherapy.
